QQI level 3  & QQI level 5 Film Training Courses

 

We are offering 3 modules this semester, January 2025

 

Film Production QQI Level 5 Tuesdays 10am-4:30pm (January 14th - March 25th) Learners will write, produce and edit a short film as a group, working with storyboards, Camera, sound, directing, producing, budgeting, scheduling and introduction to post-production/editing.

 

Television and Film Editing QQI Level 5 Thursdays 10am-4:30pm (January 16th - March 27th) Participants will analyse different media and learn editing skills. There will be editing skills assessments. Adobe Premiere Pro software will be provided.

 

Introduction to Film and Editing QQI Level 3, Fridays 10am-1:30pm (January 10th - April 11th) Learn about film and crew roles in this hands-on course. Prep, shoot and edit a short video in a small group, acquire practical and technical skills for filming and editing video.

 

All equipment and editing software will be supplied in class.

 

Future Courses this year will include the following:
 

April-May

Digtal Editing (QQI Level 5) Learn to Edit videos making using digital editing software with particular emphasis on creative editing including, effects and music.

September - December 

Scriptwriting (QQI Level 5)Participants will write a treatment, script, logline and pitch for their original short film to an industry standard layout, present their own script in a pitch and analyse different script formats.

You will need to have access to a laptop/computer, (scriptwriting software will be supplied).

 

Digital Movie Processing (QQI Level 5)

With elements of filming short scenes, there will be a focus on post-production process, using storyboards, green screen, editing suite, music, effects, titles and transitions.
