We have a range of film and editing training and courses happening throughout the year

Film Project
QQI level 3 & QQI level 5 Film Training & Courses
We run free Film and Editing certified courses throughout the year in partnership with MSLETB Community Education.
All equipment and editing software is supplied in class. Learners are given free access to Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Apps, Canva and Microsoft Office.

We are offering 3 modules this semester September - December 2025
Introduction to Film and Editing (QQI Level 3)
Fridays 10am - 1:30pm (September 19th – December 19th)
Learn about film and crew roles in this hands-on course. Prep, shoot and edit a short video in a small group, acquire practical and technical skills for filming and editing video.
Digital Editing (QQI Level 5)
Tuesdays 10am - 3:30pm (October 7th – December 16th)
Learn to Edit videos making using digital editing software with particular emphasis on creative editing including, effects and music.
Digital Movie Processing (QQI Level 5)
Thursdays 10am - 4pm (October 9th – December 18th)
This course focuses on the post-production process, with elements of filming short scenes, using storyboards, green screen, editing suite, music, effects, titles and transitions.
Future Courses in 2026 include the following:
Scriptwriting (QQI Level 5)
Participants will write a treatment, script, logline and pitch for their original short film to an industry standard layout, present their own script in a pitch and analyse different script formats.
You will need to have access to a laptop/computer. Scriptwriting software will be supplied.
Film Production QQI Level 5
Learners will write, produce and edit a short film as a group, working with storyboards, Camera, sound, directing, producing, budgeting, scheduling and introduction to post-production/editing. Equipment and Editing software will be supplied.
Television and Film Editing QQI Level 5
Participants will analyse different media and learn editing skills, with a focus on narrative. Learners can work on individual or shared group projects. Editing software will be supplied.
This certified programme is offered in partnership with MSLETB Community Education.
